5 Reasons To Ride Granny's Gravel Grinder

Trying to decide whether or not to ride Granny's Gravel Grinder on May 4th this year? Maybe these 5 reasons will help make that decision easier!

1._GRASSROOTS GRAVEL EVENTS ARE THE BEST!

You can't get anymore of a grassroots event than Granny's Gravel Grinder. Parking in a field, finishing at grandma's house, hanging out with your friends and family in the lawn afterwards enjoying a post race meal, you can't beat that. This event is very lowkey and is a great way to start your season of gravel events. Whether it is your first event or your 100th, we want everyone to feel welcomed and have a great time!

Not too many other events can say they start in someone's driveway.

2. Post ride tacos and ice cream included in registration!

This year every rider gets to enjoy some tacos after their day out on the bike! We will have all the fixings including vegan options for folks! We will have ice cream for a tasty treat to enjoy after your ride. Rootbeer will be available to make some floats if you have a post race sweet tooth as well! Nobody leaves Granny's with an empty stomach.

3. Awesome aid stations and coffee shop on course

No worrying about carrying all of your water and snacks! Our 50 mile and 100 mile routes have well stocked aid stations with water and snacks to keep you going! If you need a little pick me near the end of your ride, our 25 mile to go aid station will be at Jitters coffee shop. We will have water and snacks for you, but if you need some coffee or a pastry, they will be open during the event till 4pm.

4. Hills? What are those?

Worried about your early season fitness? No worries, our courses are perfect for folks who are just starting their training. Just because our courses are flat(ish) doesn't mean you'll be biking through empty field though. We've designed our routes to bring you over the rivers and through the woods (to block that wind) so you can enjoy the scenery that central Minnesota has to offer.

5. A hug from grandma at the finish line!

Need we say more? There's no better way to end a bike ride than with a hug from grandma!

Don't miss your spot!
